Anno Distillers are highly excited to disclose they have won the Silver award at the IWSC (International World Spirits Competition).
Kim comments 'to be ranked one of the highest spirits in the World in 2014, when gin is so on trend at the moment is an amazing achievement that we are very proud to receive'.
Andy and Norman attended the spirits results and award winning tasting night, hosted by the Worshipful Company of Distillers, last night in the Vintners’ Hall, London.
Andy was honoured to attend the relaunch event of Edmondson Interiors, from its previous name of Bespoke Interiors where he served up Anno G&T's to help celebrate the evening in style. Edmondson Interiors make stunning, custom interiors throughout the home and are also based in Kent, The Garden of England. Frankies Farm Shop supplied a wonderful buffet of food and Anno Gin miniatures were also included in the fantastic gift bags along with Fever Tree Tonic, limes, a beautifully carved chopping board from a selection of English wood and mini tapas bowls from the White Company. All in all, a very successful launch and we wish them every success in the future too.
As huge Master Chef fan's, we were thrilled to welcome Saira Hamilton from the BBC 2013 Masterchef series into the Anno Distillery today. The Anno team first met Saira at the Foodies Festival in Brighton where she sampled and brought a bottle of Anno Gin, commenting on the smoothness and depth of flavour the gin brought to the palate, which intrigued her to know more - leading to the distillery visit. It was an absolute pleasure to have her in the distillery and the best way we can think to describe her is a little ray of sunshine.
It’s been years since I’ve attended the Kent County Show (last time I was here I was still at school getting some extra cash working at the Jolly Farmer Restaurant and Bar), and it looks like I’ve been missing out. The whole weekend was packed with people watching the amazing red arrows cover the sky with beautiful lines of smoke during their spectacular display of stunts and it was shopping heaven for many customers- the Produced in Kent area being one of the most popular, showcasing specialist and local products from across the Kent area from small artisan producers. The sun held out for most of the weekend and we kept everyone’s thirst at bay with G&Ts made with Anno Kent Dry Gin, Fever Tree Tonic and of course garnished with that all important samphire!
Anno Kent Dry Gin was recommended and has been titled as ‘Bestseller’ by BBC Good Food Show Magazine!
Today one of our company founders, Norman, turns 60! He has the day off to celebrate and one of our stockists - Fuggles Beer Café, in Tunbridge Wells have just been graced with his presence! Have a large Anno G&T to celebrate with us!!!
We have sore throats from talking so much, but have survived our first trade show for the trade. What a busy couple of days up at Imbibe in London! The halls of Olympia were absolutely packed with bartenders, restaurant owners and sommeliers, all eager to sample what the drinks industry has to offer them and boy were we popular! Gin is definitely the ‘in’ spirit and our bottle got a lot of attention and further excitement ensued when our spirits aromatic nose and smooth taste was sampled. Hope to see lots of new Anno Gin stockists soon
June has been a fabulous month, the sun has been shining and the G&Ts have been flowing nicely.
