Weekend by the Sea
25/07/2017 - A weekend spent at the Kentish Coast for Hythe Food Festival & Whitstable Oyster Festival
Oh we do like to be beside the seaside! The past weekend was spent at Hythe Food & Drink Festival and Whitstable Oyster Festival.
The Hythe Food & Drink Festival was held by the Royal Military Canal and we were amongst some fabulous local food & drink producers. This was the first event we've done in Hythe so it was good to get out and meet some local Ginthusiasts. We were lucky enough to meet Fleur Challis, otherwise known as Kent Food Photographer who took some wonderful images of our stand!
At the same time we were busy over at one of Kents most iconic events - The Whitstable Oyster Festival! This year it was being held in a new location on Tankerton Slopes, away from Whitstable Harbour, with beautiful views over the sea. The usual events took place, including the tug-of-war, oyster eating challenge and the Landing of the Oysters in the Harbour. We were placed up at the Food Festival along with live music and amongst many other local food & drink producers.
