Anno Distillers Coronavirus (COVID-19) Statement
Coronavirus (COVID-19)
19/07/21 - Now that COVID rules in England are lifted, we understand many are feeling cautious about indoor group activities. At Anno, our already high levels of hygiene will be supported by a few small additions. We will continue asking all visitors to scan our QR code with the NHS COVID app or leave contact details for their visit. We ask anyone visiting the distillery to wear a face covering, where possible. Hand sanitiser has always been available and will continue to be offered. Our staff will be wearing PPE when indoors or among groups. Visitor numbers will remain limited to allow extra space. We hope these measures will go some way to helping you feel comfortable but if you or a member of your group have further questions, please call us on 01622 833278 during business hours or email info@annodistillers.co.uk
05/07/21 - The government is planning to lift all COVID restrictions in England on 19th July 2021. You can find out more details on the government website. We will continue working to provide a safe environment at the distillery and our usual excellent health and safety measures will always remain. Till then, face coverings remain mandatory until further notice (unless exempt) and we are still providing PPE and sanitiser to all staff and visitors.
21/06/21 - Since reopening for experiences in May, we have loved having our visitors back to the distillery and seeing some return to normality. Though the government have pushed back full lifting of COVID restrictions, the rules have been relaxed and we have gradually increased visitor numbers, adding more space to accomodate people who missed out on their visits. Those with gift vouchers should try to book a visit and anyone with vouchers that have expired unused due to COVID should contact us to discuss options. We'll look forward to welcoming you soon!
23/02/21 - As you're aware, the UK government has set out plans to cautiously bring us out of lockdown. This currently includes reopening the hospitality industry in stages, first outdoors and later, indoors - if all the conditions are met to do so safely. For the last few months, we've remained closed to the public but we are already set up to welcome you back for distillery experiences from 17th May 2021 onwards. In the meantime, we'd like to say thank you for your patience with a special offer. To begin with, we plan to run reduced-sized groups to enable social distancing, plus provide you with any necessary PPE, hand sanitiser, and any other requirements as set out nearer the time. Eventually, we hope to expand our group sizes and add more session dates and times.
05/01/21 - With the UK now back in a nationwide lockdown, all of our distillery experiences are postponed until further notice and in line with government updates. With this in mind, we ask that any customers booked onto an upcoming date please contact us to reschedule to later in the year.
17/12/20 - Unfortunately, Kent remains under tier 3 COVID-19 restrictions with another review due on 30 December. By this date, all of 2020's experiences will have passed, so the next ones to run will hopefully be in early 2021, pending government updates.
26/11/20 - Being a Kentish distillery, we have been placed under the tier 3 COVID-19 restrictions by the government, meaning that all of our distillery experiences must be postponed until at least the review date of 16 December. This is obviously not the news we wanted but as a responsible business, we will do everything we can to help fight the pandemic. Once again, the whole team here thank you for your patience and your ongoing support and understanding.
01/11/20 - Unfortunately, due to the ongoing pandemic and new government rules, all of our tours and experiences from Thursday 5th November to Wednesday 2nd December 2020 will be postponed. Any customers who are booked in for these dates should contact the distillery by phone or email so we can reschedule your visit to a later date, as you cannot do this online yourself once you have booked or redeemed a voucher. This may be subject to change, depending on how the situation develops and we appreciate your patience while we navigate through this together.
24/09/20 - Before arriving at the distillery, all visitors are required to download the NHS COVID-19 contact tracing app and be ready to scan our QR code upon entry. The download links can be found on the NHS website.
19/08/20 - We're pleased to be welcoming back visitors to Anno Distillers, with our tours and experiences resuming in early September 2020. You may have questions about the new way of doing things, so we've covered the most frequently asked questions below. Please contact us if you'd like any other information before you attend:
· If you or a member of your party have symptoms of COVID-19 do not come to the distillery - please contact us to rearrange your visit.
· You will be provided with a face mask and will be required to wear it, unless you are unable. It can be removed during any tasting.
· All staff will wear face visors for your safety.
· We will provide hand sanitiser and request guests to use it frequently throughout.
· We will have a reduced capacity and all tours must be booked in advance.
· Tours will be seated to allow for greater social distancing.

· Payment in the shop will be by card only.
· Please try not to arrive more than 10 minutes before or after your booked time slot.
· We are certified as COVID-secure.
18/05/20 - In-line with government advice, we've taken the decision to postpone all our tours and experiences until at least 31st August 2020. Any customers who are booked in between now and that date should contact the distillery by phone or email and we will reschedule your visit to later in the year or 2021, as you cannot do this online yourself once you have booked or redeemed a voucher.
All our vouchers have an expiry date by which time they must be used to book an experience. We currently have dates available on our website until the end of the year and will be adding more into 2021 soon, so if you have not yet redeemed your voucher then please do so before it expires. Remember, the date you book can be beyond the voucher expiry date.
Here at Anno Distillers, we have always been dedicated to working with high standards of hygiene. We are SALSA accredited and in order to protect our customers, staff and working environment, we will be monitoring the situation and may postpone further events as new information becomes available from the government.
We currently remain open for business and orders can be placed as usual, through our website, email or by phoning the office. Please follow our social media, sign up to our newsletter or keep visiting our website for further updates.
