If you've never visited a distillery or even if you're a veteran gin fan, Anno Distillers have got an experience for you. We have been running very popular gin tours and tastings for some years, welcoming thousands of people to try our products and meet our 300 litre copper still, Patience. The feedback has always been very good, as you can see on Facebook, TripAdvisor or Google. People love learning about the botanicals and processes involved, so we decided to introduce exciting new ways to get involved.

Gin Blending Lab

After a brilliant run at Bluewater in our award winning pop up shop, the gin blending lab has come home to our distillery. The blending experience involves an in-depth look at gin botanicals of all varieties, allowing you to test the aroma and flavour of each. Our experienced hosts will guide you through mixing small quantities of these distillates and recording your findings in a personal notebook.

Finally, you'll scale up your recipe and fill flasks directly from our carboys, creating your very own full bottle of gin and a personalised label. Take this home in your generous goodie bag and show off your Anno alchemist's certificate too. These experiences are even better when enjoyed with friends, and you can book online or buy vouchers here.

Gin + Cocktail Experience

Another way to really get hands on is to come and meet one of the Anno Distillers founders, Dr Andy Reason or Dr Norman Lewis. During a tour, you will find out about the history of our distillery, meet our beautiful copper-pot still, Patience and enjoy an Anno Kent Dry Gin and tonic. After this, a tutored tasting of our Anno Kent Dry Gin, where you'll learn about its unique characteristics. Follow this with a gin masterclass where you’ll analyse its 16 botanicals; your challenge will be to recreate it under supervision, how close will you get your blend?

Finally, you’ll make an array of cocktails using our 6 spirits, a selection of tonics and hand-carved garnishes. This experience is limited to only a few dates, so early booking is advised and vouchers aren't available, to avoid disappointment. All of our distillery tours and experiences also include a discount on 70cl bottles on the night from our on site shop.
