Owler Dark Spiced Rum arrives at Shepherd Neame pubs!

The launch of our rums last year marked an exciting new venture for Anno and certainly made a splash. The party at our distillery in June (feels like yesterday, I know) was a fantastic occasion, with over 200 people joining us to celebrate in the sun and get a first taste of Kent’s hottest newest drink! 

Since then the rums have gone from strength to strength, on the road our team picked up kind words from (almost) everyone that tried it. Be it rum connoisseurs or first time tasters, Candlelight Pink Rhubarb lovers, or fans of the Owler Dark Spiced, our three distinct flavours have been enjoyed far and wide. We were blown away by the reaction and such is the excitement and energy behind the collection, they have quickly become a staple in our range.

However, until recently, our rums have only been available in a select few public houses across the county. A Kentish rum is still a rare site, but we’re hoping to change that. So, with that said, we couldn’t be happier to announce that Shepherd Neame have selected the dark horse of the collection - our Owler Dark Spiced Rum - to be included as part of their spirits selection available for publicans to buy and serve at establishments across the south of England. 

With its unique notes of tonka beans, vanilla, and marzipan the Owler is a homage to the smugglers of the Kent coast who communicated across the Romney marshes with covert bird calls and signals. Distinctly different to other British rums on the market, it’s both fermented and distilled at our Marden distillery - Kent through and through. You can now find Owler at all good Shepherd Neame pubs.
