Apple Brandy

Matured in an ex-bourbon cask, Anno presents this fresh, oaky brandy with the crisp brightness of Biddenden Vineyard apples. A satisfying spirit to be enjoyed neat in a tulip-shaped glass at room temperature, warming first with your hands, or on the rocks for a cooler, zestier drink.

Kent, the Garden of England, is bursting with apples. In 1892 a new branch line opened, winding its way from Paddock Wood to Horsmonden and Goudhurst. Serving as a crucial artery into the city, the single train track transported Londoners for their annual hop-picking ‘holiday’ in the countryside. Of course, it was also used to carry delicious apples to the capital’s growing population as the fruit industry grew to its height at the turn of the century. Anno celebrates a rich history of thriving Kentish orchards as we collaborate with our friends at Biddenden Vineyard, creating a delicious limited edition brandy spirit.

A pleasant alternative to gin

Not as smooth as Calvados hence only 4 stars but this may be due to drinking it chilled on the rocks rather than at room temperature. A fresh, crisp taste of apples really cut through the brandy.
